The Cloud Puff Cardigan (Beginner-Friendly!)

Materials Needed:
Bulky weight yarn (800g – 1200g, depending on size)
10mm crochet hook
Scissors
Tapestry needle
4 large buttons (optional)
Crochet Stitches Used:
CH – Chain
HDC – Half Double Crochet
PS – Puff Stitch (Yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop, repeat 3x, yarn over, pull through all loops)
SL ST – Slip Stitch

Pattern Instructions
Step 1: Crochet the Back Panel
Foundation Chain: CH 52 (S/M), 60 (L/XL), 68 (XXL/XXXL).
Row 1: HDC in the 2nd chain from the hook, and across. CH 2, turn.
Row 2-40: Continue HDC in each stitch. Adjust length as needed.
Step 2: Crochet the Front Panels (Make 2)
Foundation Chain: CH 26 (S/M), 30 (L/XL), 34 (XXL/XXXL).
Repeat the same HDC pattern for 40 rows.
Step 3: Crochet the Sleeves (Make 2)
Foundation Chain: CH 28 (S/M), 32 (L/XL), 36 (XXL/XXXL).
Work Puff Stitch (PS) rows for extra texture.
Increase width every 5 rows for a balloon sleeve effect.
Continue until the sleeve measures 18-22 inches (or desired length).
Step 4: Assembly & Finishing
Sew the shoulders together.
Attach the sleeves to the body.
Seam the sides, leaving armholes open.
Add buttons or a border if desired.
